OFI one-day conference on Invasive Alien Species

Dec 20, 2008

Invasive alien species are species introduced into a country, which establish themselves, spread and cause damage to biodiversity, animal- or human health or the economy of the country. The ornamental aquatic industry can serve as a pathway for such introductions.

On the Saturday of AQUARAMA 2009, the 30th of May 2009, OFI will organise a one-day conference on this topic. The aim of this conference is to create awareness about the role of the ornamental aquatic industry as a pathway for IAS.
What is the role of the ornamental aquatic industry? What will be the future effects of IAS on the ornamental aquatic industry and what can the industry do about it? How does it already affect this industry? Attend this one-day conference!
Registration fee: 50 Euro (access to the conference, including coffee and tea break, lunch and dinner).
For registration, please go to the
www.ofish.org/about/ofi-conference/conference-registration
form in the OFI website and sign in.
