Vitakraft acquires Sun Seed

Vitakraft Pet Products, the American subsidiary of Vitakraft-Werke, has acquired the American bird food specialists Sun Seed. The two companies will operate in future as the joint company Vitakraft Sun Seed from headquarters in Bowling Green/Ohio. Brent Weinmann, the owner and president of Sun Seed, will continue as president of the new company, while Andy Messinger, the general manager of Vitakraft Pet Products, will become chief executive officer.
