The meat and pet food producer Tyson Foods is selling its pet treat business to the General Mills Group. According to a press release by Tyson Foods, General Mills is paying 1.2 bn dollars, equivalent to five times the company's annual turnover.
The deal covers brands such as Nudges, True Chews and Top Chews along with a production plant in Iowa and 300 employees. US competition authorities have yet to approve the deal.
