Alfred Glander takes over from Michael Brackmann
On 1st January 2012, Alfred Glander (49) will become a new Managing Director at Fressnapf, where he will be responsible for the International Purchasing, Private Label, Category Management and E-commerce divisions.
Alfred Glander was most recently the managing director responsible for purchasing and category management at food discounter PENNY and has many years of experience in the retail industry. He has also held managerial positions at Tengelmann and Edeka, among others. "Alfred Glander is one of the most prominent category management and purchasing professionals in the German retail industry, so we are delighted to have him on board."
Glander will be taking over from Michael Brackmann, who has worked as a Fressnapf managing director since 1996 and played a crucial role in shaping the company. Brackmann, who is voluntarily resigning from his managerial position, Fressnapf is losing a proven pet retail industry expert from its day-to-day business, but he will continue to assist Fressnapf as a consultant.
