Bemis sells two packaging operations in Alcan deal

Bemis Company Inc. agreed to sell two of its US packaging operations for US$81 million to Exopack Holding Corps.

The company sold its plants in Menasha, Wisconsin, USA, and Catoosa, Oklahoma, USA, which produce plastic packaging for retail natural cheese and shrink bags for fresh meat. The sell-offs were part of the US$1.2 billion takeover of Alcan Packaging Food Americas earlier this year.
