The world's biggest pet supplies fair Interzoo opens its doors in Nuremberg on Thursday 13 May.
At the four-day trade show, over 1 500 exhibitors from all over the world will present their products and services to an international trade audience. The organisers are expecting high visitor numbers, with big crowds on the first day tomorrow.
The eruptions of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull add an unknown factor to the situation, however. In the last couple of days, ash clouds from the volcano have closed numerous airports in western and southern Europe. Spain and Portugal were the most badly affected countries. In the worst case, the volcanic ash could keep some exhibitors away and result in a reduced number of visitors to Interzoo.
