German petfood sales down, total money spent up

Germans spent more money on their pets with a turnover on petfood increasing by 2.7% to €2.97 billion (US$4 billion), according to a recent article.

Since petfood sales in Germany dropped 1.4%, the increase is attributed to higher pricing and shifts in assortment.
