Fressnapf Austria opens 100th outlet

Fressnapf Austria continues to expand and has opened its 95th market on 1 April 2010 in Knittelfeld. The company is also seeking a location for its new and larger headquarters. Fressnapf plans to open four more pet stores this year. Its 100th store is planned for the first quarter of 2011. Fressnapf has two strategies: normal-sized pet stores, and 'Megazoos' that have up to 2,000 sqm sales area. The company currently has five such superstores with the next projects to follow. "We anticipate that we will eventually have 10 Megazoos," Fressnapf CEO Obermaier, said.
