WWPIA Now WPA

The World Wide Pet Industry Association (WWPIA) has officially changed its name to the World Pet Association WPA) to better represent the scope of the association's involvement in all aspect of the pet world.

"It's a matter of repositioning our name to better reflect who we are serving. It was to better show that we're not just an industry organization, we're also out there touching the consumer," said WPA president Doug Poindexter, pointing to the association's America's Family Pet Expo consumer events and PetSource.org consumer website as two examples of its efforts in this area.
